2013 Event Info

What:  A gathering of Michigan microbreweries, regional restaurants and live entertainment under a gigantic tent in America’s Most Beautiful Place!  This is a family-friendly event located just a short walk from Lake Michigan and your favorite Glen Arbor shops and restaurants.

When: Saturday, June 15th, 2-8pm

Where:  Corner of M-22 and Lake Street in the center of downtown Glen Arbor, Michigan.

Who:  Live music from Erratixz, over 20 samples of beer from 9 Michigan breweries & local BBQ from Blu, Art’s Tavern, Cherry Republic and Western Avenue Grill!  We’ll also have non-alcoholic beverages from Cherry Republic, Great Lakes Tea & Spice, Northwoods Soda and Bay Lavender. Click here for more vendor info.

How Much:  Admission is $15 per person, which includes 4 tickets.  Extra tickets will be $1 each this year and are redeemable for both beverages and food.  Beer samples are 2 tickets each, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.  Food sample ticket “costs” will vary  depending on vendor and menu item.

Why:  This is the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce’s biggest fundraising event of the year.  So while you enjoy the finest in Michigan Brews and BBQ, know that all money raised stays in the community and goes towards the following:

  • Other Chamber events and programs (Holiday Marketplace, Chili Cook-Off)
  • Local “beautification” (plantings, repairs, etc.)
  • Local charitable donations
  • Local sponsorships (Manitou Music Festival, business events)
  • Visitor services (maintaining the info center, emails, website, mailings, etc.)
  • Glen Lake Scholarships

Purchase your tickets or fill out the form on our Buy Tickets page by June 14, 2013 and you’re automatically entered to win a weekend in Glen Arbor courtesy of Leelanau Vacation Rentals!  Click here for more info and a link to purchase tickets.  No purchase necessary to win.

    • Hi Jon – Yes, there will be kid-friendly beverages on hand for sure! We are in the process of confirming these participants and will post them to our Vendors page once we have a final answer. Thank you!

    • Hi Rusty!

Yes, shirts will be available at the event for $15. We just got them yesterday – white crew with the BBQ logo on the front and 2013 sponsors on the back. Thanks!

    • Hi Katie!

Thanks for your question – it is up to the breweries as far as the beverages they are bringing, and unfortunately I do not have a list of those specific items. Here is a list of the breweries; I am not sure if any of them offer a gluten-free brew in general. Wish I could be of more help!

    • Hi Dave,

Thanks for the question – Yes the tickets are $15; the 4 tickets included in this cost may be used for non-alcoholic beverages and all food samples, and all proceeds go towards local projects, events and donation efforts by our Chamber of Commerce (read more about this here). While we encourage families to attend, keep in mind that for younger children, this will be a busy/loud scene under the tent (live music, big crowd).
